What We Are Looking For

Baylor University is seeking an Facilities Manager that will support the mission of the university by overseeing the Foster Campus event, meeting, and classroom scheduling, housekeeping and maintenance coordination, security and proper working of the Foster Campus facilities, including the Meyer Conference Center.

An Associate degree with three years of relevant work experience, and an active Christian faith are required. An Bachelors degree with seven years of relevant work experience is preferred. A combination of education and experience will be considered in lieu of the degree requirement.

All applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.

What You Will Do

Essential Functions:
  • Coordinate support from campus partners for housekeeping, maintenance and grounds for the Foster Campus, including security, preventative maintenance, emergency and normal repairs, air conditioning and heating-emergencies and normal atmospheric conditions, furniture.
  • Coordinate and follow-up of repairs with the Physical Plant personnel on a daily basis regarding any maintenance problems.
  • Coordinate and follow-up with the housekeeping personnel regarding any housekeeping and any room set up issues in the building. Prepare and send all event and meeting set-ups for the next week's events to appropriate personnel on a weekly basis.
  • Schedule one-time and/or recurring events/meetings in classrooms, banquet/conference rooms for HSB departments, non-business school departments and student organizations.
  • Assist University departments/groups with information regarding room diagrams, technology needs, building and room setups for their events in the Foster Campus.
  • Schedule door access, room setup, cleaning, and maintenance needs for each event.
  • Oversee and advise student assistants.
  • Process all building faculty and staff moves including scheduling a timeline with technology, keys etc.

Secondary Functions:
  • Coordinate operational processes including the Foster mail room, federal workplace posters, and building access. Assist the Assistant Dean with additional operational tasks as requested.
  • Order Keys for all personnel in School of Business and maintain the Key Reports.
  • Maintain and update Foster Campus Facilities Policies in coordination with the Assistant Dean for Operations.
  • Coordinate with the Director of Emergency Management for building safety, including overseeing the Building Emergency Coordinators for the Foster Campus.
  • Coordinate with Fire Protection, Prevention, and Safety Manager on fire safety issue in the building.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned to support Baylor's mission.
  • Ability to comply with University policies.
  • Maintain regular and punctual attendance.
